PETALING JAYA: Berjaya Food Bhd (BFood), which reported strong earnings for its fourth quarter ended June 30, expects its operating results to remain satisfactory, going forward.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the group expected its Starbucks outlets to maintain its revenue growth momentum.

BFood chief executive officer Datuk Sydney Quays said: “It was certainly a year of success and progress for the group despite facing operational headwinds.”

BFood’s net profit for the fourth quarter ended June 30, surged to RM40.66mil from RM14.27mil in the previous corresponding period, while revenue in the second quarter grew to RM291.27mil from RM180.72mil a year earlier.

BFood said the increase in revenue was mainly due to higher same-store-sales growth, particularly from Starbuckscafe outlets as well as the opening of new Starbucks cafe outlets during the financial year.
